Avi Vantage Release Denotation

Avi releases are numbered in the Release.Major.Minor format. Minor versions are the maintenance releases. Additionally, the patch releases target bug fixes in specific components. For instance, in 16.1.2 3p4, 16 denotes the release version, 1 denotes the major version, and 2 denotes the minor version. The p denotes patch release, 3 indicates the 3rd patch branch, and 4 indicates the forth patch in that patch branch.

End of Support

End of Maintenance is the last date Avi Networks provides maintenance and patch releases for a major release. No maintenance patches will be provided post this.

End of Support (EOS) is the last date Avi Networks provides support for a major release. This is by the end of six months post End of Maintenance (End of Maintenance + six months = End of Support). The EOS information will be communicated along with the current Software Subscription Agreement.

During the term between End of Maintenance and End of Support, no maintenance patches will be provided. Avi Networks recommends upgrading to a recent release for continued support. For complete information on the upgrade process, please refer to Upgrading Avi Vantage Software.

For Long-term Support (LTS) releases, Avi Networks will provide support for 24 months starting from the release date, normally referred to as First Customer Ship (FCS). For non-LTS releases, Avi Networks will provide support for 9 months from the FCS date.
